get over the fact that Briony never came forward about her lie
confuses and angers me incredibly.
When she is an old lady, saying that she "gave them happiness" by
writing a novel, falls short with me. She comes across as incredibly
self-important (at 13 and as an adult), and to me the only reason she
wrote the book is to ease her own guilt. She ruined the lives of two
people and did nothing to help.
Am I being harsh, do you agree with me, or do you have some insight to
help alleviate my anger a little? :P
I mean *it* confuses and angers me
